So what is a netbook?

There are many ways to define what a netbook is but the simplest is to look at how the word is formed, interNET noteBOOK. For me this is a bit vague as it could cover a 17" laptop with an ethernet connection. I think portabilty is key for a netbook and i think this is where they come into their own and why they have become so popular in such a short space of time. PC Pro are reporting Archos is set to release a new tablet device running on Windows 7, which it claims represents the "future of netbooks".
